About Polaris

How it began

Polaris Dive and Beach Resort was originally opened in June 1998 under German-/Filipino management. Since then it is managed carefully by Franz Baumann and his wife Maria. They are assisted by additional local divemaster, instructor and the always helpful native boatmen, familiar with the place. In accord with nature today' s Polaris Dive and Beach Resort was gradually developed.

 

Environmentally friendly, sustainable development to protect the nature

We carry on a sustainable development in accord with nature and the native inhabitants of the island. Overall aim is the protection and preservation of the unique beauty of Cabilao Island and its environment. To ensure that future generations will enjoy it, we take special care of the environment. Garbage is whenever possible avoided or is disposed correspondingly separately and environment-careful. Our activity is characterized by the consciousness of our social, public and ecological responsibility. As one of the biggest employer on Cabilao Island we offer to our team progressive salary conditions and social conditions. We attach great importance to an ambience which is shaped by the goodwill to cooperate, tolerance and respect of individual dignity. Relationships among our staff members as well as with our clients are driven by the power of partnership. The power of partnership engenders involvement, contribution and mutual support. We encourage the free exchange of ideas, and demand teamwork.
