Cabilao is a marvelous place for scuba diving and snorkeling. The 5-Star area is the perfect dive spot for beginners and experienced divers. Scuba Diving is possible all the year round. The water temperatures in the dive areas of the Visayas vary between 26 and 30 degrees Celsius. Therefore a 3 to 5 millimeter neoprene wet suit is normally sufficient. The visibility can range from 20 to 40 meters.
 
There are a number of spots that offer excellent and exciting dives. An intact underwater world with various dive spots, special marine life and coral are waiting for you. The reef shelf, 50 to 100 meters wide, terminates into a perpendicular underwater down to depths beyond 50 meters.
 
1. Housereef Wall dropping down to 50 meters and more

Description The wall is completely covered with beautiful hard- and soft coral. This reef offers a diversity of species, like scorpion fish,  tunas, jackfish, barracudas, frogfish and nudibranchs of all kinds.
   
2. Sharks-Point Plateau, depth of 22 to 34 meters

Description This plateau is a excellent place to observe the marine life. Situated in the north of the island, it is the home of the Pygmy- and the Thorny seahorse. Occasionally some big fish like the white- and black tipped reef shark, napoleons, schools of barracudas and jackfish show up.
   
3. Lighthouse Plateau, depth of 4 to 34 meters

Description Located next to the Sharks-Point, the Lighthouse is an ideal place for a safety stop and to extend your dive time. A slope covered with sea grass and corals expects you there. Because of its unique and rare diversity of species so many divers and underwater photographers has been inspired. Pegasus, seahorse, ghost pipefish, harlequin ghost pipefish, stone fish, devil fish, leaf fish were already discovered at this place. Be ready for the night dive of your life...
   
4. Fallen Tree Wall dropping down to 60 meters and more

Description The wall is richly covered with gorgonian sea fans and black corals. Also home to schools of barracudas, turtles, frogfishes and nudibranchs.
   
5. Looc Wall dropping down to 70 meters and more

Description The wall ends into this sandy plateau with a tremendous variety of hard- and soft corals. It is also the habitat of innumerable microorganisms like shrimps, snails and numerous fish schools. A dive not to be missed...
   
6. Cambaquiz Wall dropping down to 90 meters and more

Description This place offers everything you need. A adrenaline pumping and adventurous dive. Impressive wall, a large overhang and many caves which is sometimes favorite for baby sharks to rest during the day. But there is still more to see.
   
7. Santa Cruz Wall dropping down to 40 meters and more

Description This wall can be found on the east side of Cabilao Island. Dropping down this place borders on a big sandy slope. The exceptional dive demands a trained eye to find the camouflage masters like sea needles, ghost pipefish, harlequin ghost pipefish, shrimps and snails.
   
8. South-Point Wall dropping down to 35 meters and more

Description Probably one of the most beautiful dive site in the Visayas. In the flat area fascinating coral garden with formations of enormous table corals. South-Point is close to the protected underwater area and offers thereby fish schools in all variations and sizes.
   
9. Coconut

Description A very popular place. Wonderful cover with sea fans gorgonian and black corals. There is much to find but primarily it is the large schools of barracudas and occasional black tipped reef sharks make this an exciting dive. The cleft flat area offers an interesting and extended dive in various labyrinths.
   
10. Rock-Point Wall dropping down to 50 meters and more

Description Last but not least this dive site borders another protected underwater area and its environment with several caves, incisions and overhangs offers an fascinating view. Sea snakes, barracudas, large groupers, napoleon wrasses and snappers are often seen.
 
Balicasag and Doljo
The Visayas accommodates the most beautiful beaches and diving areas of the Philippines. How would it be to discover it on a dive safari or whole-day dive excursion? Balicasag Island - The island is actually a coral reef and has been declared a marine sanctuary. The magic of Balicasag lies beneath the deep blue sea and offers a lot of highlights. The rare opportunity to swim through a forest of black coral makes this dive an experience not to be missed. Apart from the black coral, you'll also see large schools of silver jacks / surgeon fish as well as turtles.

Doljo - Is on the north side of Panglao Island, approximately 45 minutes away by boat from Cabilao Island. The diving area extends at a imposing wall suitable for deep dives. Huge sea fan corals, elephant sponges and mostly good visibility makes the dives here unforgettable. Often observed: giant frogfishes.
